The monograph titled "Problems of Formation and Utilization of Investment Resources in the National Economy" by Baghis Ahmadov, Advisor to the Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) and Doctor of Economic Sciences, has been published. The book investigates the formation of investment resources in the national economy—specifically the generation of national savings and the attraction of foreign investments—the allocation of oil and gas revenues between consumption and savings, and matters regarding the utilization of existing investment resources.

Comprising six chapters, the work analyzes the impact of saving behaviors on the economic system, the role of foreign investments in the domestic market, the mechanisms behind the formation of investment decisions, and the development factors of the business environment. Concurrently, the mutual relations between economic growth and capital investments are explained.

A significant portion of the research is dedicated to the specific characteristics of the Azerbaijani economy. It delivers a detailed commentary on the strategic role of the energy sector, the distribution of oil and gas revenues, saving tendencies in the non-state sector, and the level of investment security. Furthermore, the existing economic activity in the country, state support mechanisms, tax policy, and factors influencing macroeconomic balance are evaluated on a scientific basis.

In the concluding section, conceptual approaches are put forward regarding future development directions, the significance of institutional changes, the role of state regulatory tools, and pathways to ensuring sustainable growth within the economic system.
