CAERC employees participated in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's "Digital Economy Forum"
The “Digital Economy Industry Forum” of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has started in Tianjin, China. Aygun Ahmadova, Acting Head of the Digital Trade Hub of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, and Operations Manager Elnur Aliyev are participating in the forum.
This year’s forum is organized under the theme “New Bridges of the Digital Economy – Joint Expansion of New Opportunities for Cooperation.” The main goal of the event is to strengthen cooperation among SCO member countries in areas such as data circulation and trade, digital transformation of industry, establishment of digital infrastructure, application of artificial intelligence, development of smart cities, and digital workforce training.
More than 600 participants representing government agencies, private sector representatives, higher education institutions, and think tanks from SCO countries have gathered at the forum. They exchanged views on future cooperation in the fields of industrial digital transformation, education, and urban planning. Model projects for cooperation in the digital economy were presented during the panels, and a number of cooperation agreements were also signed.
