Representatives of CAERC participated in the event on digital transformation of small and medium enterprises
Aykhan Gadashov, head of the "Azexport.az" portal of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) and Ismet Mehraliyeva, head of the Digital Trade Hub, participated in the event "Digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Eastern Partnership countries" organized by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
A. Gadashov said that digitization is one of the priority directions for most countries of the world. "In the world, the application of digitalization in health, education, social and economic fields is rapidly expanding. Serious support is given to this field in our country. For this purpose, various state programs are accepted and new projects are implemented. As an example, we can mention digital initiatives such as the creation of the Azexport.az internet portal to ensure the access of entrepreneurs to foreign markets through digital platforms and to conduct online marketing of products produced in the country anywhere in the world," said A. Gadashov. Later, he gave information about the project to be implemented jointly with GIZ in order to update the "azerp.az" portal created by CAERC with the latest digital capabilities.
It should be noted that the "Azerp" internet platform, which is planned to be improved with the support of GIZ, provides entrepreneurs with digital opportunities for managing enterprise resources. By using the possibilities of the portal, entrepreneurs will be able to benefit from opportunities in up to 50 directions, such as warehouse, logistics, human resources and e-commerce.
