Opening the event, Ramil Huseyn, Deputy Executive Director of CAERC, emphasized the importance of the ongoing series of meetings between public figures and young people, highlighting the significance of nurturing the new generation in a spirit of patriotism.
In his speech, Vugar Rahimzade spoke about the new stage in Azerbaijan’s development history that began with National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s rise to power on July 14, 1969. He noted that this date marked not only a political turning point but also an ideological, cultural, and informational revival for the country.
The Member of Parliament also provided an overview of the 150-year history of the Azerbaijani national press, noting that since Hasan bey Zardabi, the press has served not only as a means of information but also as a platform for enlightenment, patriotism, national values, and social responsibility. He emphasized the enlightening power of the media, the influence of the written word on society, and the press’s role in shaping public consciousness.
The meeting, held in a sincere and interactive atmosphere, saw Vugar Rahimzade answering questions from the youth and encouraging them to continue learning, researching, writing, and preserving national values.
The event was attended by members of the “Reform Volunteers”, as well as representatives of the “Tourism Volunteers” Public Union, the “KOBIA Volunteers” Public Union, the “Customs Volunteers” Team, and the “Young Volunteers” Public Union.
