Seminar on “Financial Programming” Held at CAERC

A seminar on “Financial Programming” was organized at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) with the participation of Benedikt Brauman, an experienced financial expert from Switzerland’s State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). The primary objective of the training was to strengthen institutional capacity in macroeconomic analysis and forecasting at CAERC and to conduct active discussions on the establishment of the International Monetary Fund’s Financial Programming (FP) model.

During the program, diagnostic analyses of the real, fiscal, monetary, and external sectors were carried out, focusing on the preparation of medium- and long-term forecasts for GDP growth, inflation, financial reserves, and transfers from the oil fund.

It should be noted that Benedikt Brauman has previously delivered multiple presentations on this topic. At the conclusion of the five-day training, participants received certificates of completion. Currently, CAERC has developed a strong econometric laboratory that includes a general equilibrium model, microsimulation model, and financial programming capabilities.
