The International Monetary Fund training program has concluded at the CAERC
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) training program for representatives of state institutions has concluded at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).
25 representatives from 10 state institutions successfully completed the training program titled "Macroeconomic Analysis/Financial Programming and Policies."
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Norbert Funke, Director of the IMF's Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia Regional Center for Capacity Development (CCAMTAC), emphasized that the participants acquired both theoretical and practical knowledge during the week. This knowledge will be instrumental in developing consistent macroeconomic forecasts, diagnosing economic challenges, exploring solution options, and formulating economic policy.
In addition to Norbert Funke, IMF economists Nurdaulet Abilov and Aliya Uskenbayeva led sessions within the program, which was conducted in separate groups. The curriculum covered topics such as real sector analysis, supply and demand analysis, inflation, price deflators, balance of payments, fiscal and monetary sector analysis, intersectoral relations, and forecasting methods.
Representatives from the Ministry of Economy, the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the State Customs Committee, the State Statistics Committee, the Central Bank, the State Oil Company, the State Oil Fund, and Azerbaijan Investment Holding participated in the training. Certificates were awarded to the participants at the closing ceremony, followed by a commemorative photo.
