The International Monetary Fund's training on "Macroeconomic Diagnostics" has ended at the CAERC
Trainings on “Macroeconomic Diagnostics” organized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) have been concluded.
The week-long trainings were attended by 25 representatives from various government institutions of Azerbaijan, including the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, State Customs Committee, Central Bank, State Statistical Committee, SOCAR, State Oil Fund, and others.
Within the framework of the program, participants received training on macroeconomic analysis skills in the areas of fiscal and monetary policy, inflation dynamics, debt sustainability, and the external sector. On the final day of the training, during group presentations, participants applied the models they had learned to real policy scenarios.
Director of the IMF’s Regional Capacity Development Center for the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia (CCAMTAC), Norbert Funke, stated that CAERC, as the host and organizational supporter of the training, continues to contribute to strengthening analytical capacity in the public sector and enhancing the quality of economic policy.
Deputy Executive Director of CAERC, Ramil Huseyn, noted that the economic models taught during the training will play an important role in the activities of employees of government institutions.
At the end of the training, participants were awarded certificates.
