The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) organized the next public lecture in its series on “Economic Reforms in Azerbaijan: Achievements and Prospects” at Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ADPU).

The opening remarks were delivered by ADPU Rector, Professor Cəfər Cəfərov, who emphasized the importance of hosting such lectures at the university. He noted that educational institutions like ADPU contribute to the reform process by preparing highly qualified personnel in line with international standards. Rector Cəfərov stated, "The quality of education at ADPU must continue to improve. The university’s reputation and public image should be strengthened. We need to expand international cooperation, actively participate in global programs and projects, and introduce innovative initiatives. ADPU’s operations must align with modern requirements, transforming the university into a leading institution in the country and the region. It is crucial to have exemplary teachers with deep knowledge, skills, and broad perspectives.”

Following the rector’s remarks, CAERC Executive Director Vüsal Qasımlı presented the lecture. He highlighted that the purpose of organizing such meetings in universities is to raise awareness about economic reforms, gather opinions from faculty and students, and encourage active engagement. Vüsal Qasımlı noted, "Our observations show that university communities participate enthusiastically in these discussions. CAERC has already conducted such sessions with over a thousand staff members. These lectures not only provide information but also ensure that awareness of reforms is widely spread. Today’s lecture at ADPU is particularly important because today’s students will become tomorrow’s teachers, who will pass on knowledge about the successes of Azerbaijan’s economic reforms to their future pupils and students.”

The public lecture was attended by around 400 faculty members and students. After the presentation, professors from various departments actively engaged in a Q&A session, asking questions and discussing the topics covered.
