A new meeting of the “Effective Governance and Macroeconomic Indicators” Working Group has been held
The “Effective Governance and Macroeconomic Indicators” Working Group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings held its next meeting in an online (videoconference) format.
Representatives from the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy, the State Oil Fund, the State Statistics Committee, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), as well as representatives of public organizations took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, the reports on the work done in the third quarter within the implementation of the approved Action Plan for 2025 were presented. The reports covered issues such as ensuring budget transparency, debt sustainability, state regulation burden, monetary freedom, the Global Innovation Index, efficient management of natural resources, and others.
It was noted that information about the work carried out during the reporting period, in line with the Action Plan, has been widely shared on the official websites of the relevant institutions and on social media platforms.
The meeting also included an initial exchange of views regarding the preparation of the Working Group’s Action Plan for 2026.
At the end of the discussions, the head of the Working Group, Director of the Monetary Policy Department of the Central Bank, Azer Alasgarov, stated that the implementation of the 2025 Action Plan should continue, and the Action Plan for 2026 should be prepared by taking into account the results of the current year.
