Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) Vusal Gasimli received Resident Representative for Azerbaijan of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Alessandro Fracassetti.

At the beginning of the meeting, V.Gasimli provided information on the successful economic reforms carried out in the country, as well as the activities of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication as an institution of monitoring and evaluation. He also informed about the projects of the Center, including Azexport.az, EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com, Digital Trade Hub, Azranking.az, and One-Stop-Shop Export Support Center.

During the discussion, high appreciation was given to the UNDP for the expert support provided in the development of Strategic Road Maps and the relevant monitoring and evaluation framework and cooperation with donor agencies. At the same time, special emphasis was placed on the technical support provided by UNDP in the preparation of the Center's Strategic Action Plan and research in relevant sectors.

 Also, strengthening the monitoring and evaluation capacity at the national level and the participation of representatives of the CAERC in the “Global Evaluation Week” held annually by UNDP on May 31-June 4 were among the discussed issues.

UNDP Resident Representative for Azerbaijan Alessandro Fracassetti. emphasized the importance of considering the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Azerbaijan in the preparation of adopted strategic development documents and relevant state programs, as well as the establishment of a funding framework to achieve these goals in the country. A. Fracasseti informed about the position of Azerbaijan in the international ranking of Sustainable Development Goals and the implemented projects.
