Azexport and MeetUp Networking Club held a meeting with Latvian company
A meeting was held between the Azexport.az portal operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), MeetUp Networking Club and the Latvian company STC. The meeting was attended by the company's director, Antanas Makarnvicius, and the deputy director, Ieva Latse, who is also the head of certification schemes.
The company’s director stated that during the visit, they became acquainted with the products produced in Azerbaijan. In particular, the quality and taste of Azerbaijani agricultural products captured the attention of the representatives. Antanas Makarnvicius noted that the sales potential of these products in European and Asian markets is enormous. The importance of joint efforts to realize this potential was emphasized.
The head of the Azexport.az portal, Aykhan Kadashov, highlighted the growing international demand for products produced in Azerbaijan. STC is an organization specializing in GLOBALG.A.P, HACCP, Organic, and other certification schemes, which are widely used in the agro-industrial sector. At the initial stage, an agreement was reached to collaborate on facilitating the entry of Azerbaijani products into European, Chinese, and Taiwanese markets. To this end, a series of meetings with local entrepreneurs on international certification procedures, as well as joint projects, are planned.
