"Azexport" portal expands cooperation with "Payoneer" international digital payment platform
An online meeting was held between the "Azexport" portal and the "Payoneer" digital payment platform operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).
At the meeting, Aykhan Gadashov, the head of the "Azexport" portal, informed about the possibilities and activities of the portal. Payoneer's general manager for business development, Ekaterina Li, noted that they may be interested in supporting the development of e-commerce in Azerbaijan, the formation of new digital opportunities, and increasing digital literacy.
At the meeting, the possibilities of representing "Payoneer" digital payment systems in Azerbaijan, organizing a series of seminars on the use of international e-commerce and digital banking services for local entrepreneurs and young people were also discussed. Also, views were exchanged on difficulties arising in connection with registration address and acceptance of confirmation documents for accounts when opening new accounts, as well as "OTP" passwords sent to mobile numbers for double verification.
It should be noted that Payoneer, headquartered in New York, USA, is one of the world's leading companies offering digital banking services. The platform is among the most used by users of Amazon, eBay and other giant e-commerce platforms. In addition, "Payoneer" is widely used for receiving payments from platforms offering "freelance" services.
