Azexport Portal Recognized as an Alibaba Success Story

The world’s leading e-commerce platform, Alibaba Group, has recognized the activities of the Azexport portal as a success story and published an article about it on its official website. For the first time from Azerbaijan, Azexport’s operations have been presented as a model of successful cooperation.

It was noted that through Alibaba, Azexport has gained the opportunity to showcase Azerbaijani products to a global audience. Currently, more than 300 products branded under “Made in Azerbaijan” are displayed on Alibaba.com.

Providing information on this matter, the PR Manager of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, Zanura Talibova, stated that being recognized as an Alibaba success story was a wonderful gift for Azexport on the occasion of its first anniversary. According to her, during the first eight months of this year, Azerbaijani products presented by Azexport on Alibaba.com received more than 150,000 views from customers in various countries around the world.

It should be noted that the Azexport portal was established one year ago under an order of Ilham Aliyev to ensure the promotion of Azerbaijani-origin products in foreign markets under the “Made in Azerbaijan” brand. Considered one of the most significant innovations of 2016, Azexport ensures full user satisfaction by cooperating with reliable payment systems and transport-logistics companies.

In addition to Alibaba, the portal has been integrated with other popular global e-commerce platforms such as All.biz, TradeKey, Amazon, and Agroserver to ensure wider market access for its products. Azexport is also a Gold Supplier member of Alibaba.com.
