Vusal Gasimli's article was published in the prestigious scientific journal of the Polish Academy of Sciences
The Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), Doctor of Economics and Professor Vusal Gasimli, has published a scientific article in the “Energy Policy” journal of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Institute of Mineral and Energy Economics. The journal is indexed in SCOPUS and Web of Science (Q2).
The article, titled “Repositioning Oil Exporters for the Green Energy Transition: the Case of Azerbaijan”, focuses on the green energy transition policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The co-authors of the article are Doctor of Economics Ramil Huseyn and PhD in Economics Arzu Suleymanov.
Based on their research, the authors conclude that Azerbaijan has the potential to shift its energy exports from oil and gas to green energy in the future, serving as an example for other oil-rich countries. They note that investing in green energy projects will help Azerbaijan maintain its status as an energy exporter while contributing to the diversification of Europe’s energy supply.
Calculations made using the Input-Output model also show that the implementation of green energy projects will have positive economic impacts for the country.
