Vusal Gasimli awarded the "Turkic World Science Award"
Professor Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), was awarded the highest prize in the field of Economic Science at the “Second International Turkic World Science Awards” (2. Uluslararası Türk Dünyası Bilim Ödülleri) ceremony.
The award ceremony took place at the Presidential Complex in Nicosia, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). In his speech at the event, President of the TRNC, Ersin Tatar, stated that the Turkic World Science Awards are presented to scholars who play an exceptional role in the scientific, cultural, and socio-political life of Turkic states. He emphasized that this initiative plays an important role in strengthening scientific cooperation and implementing joint projects across the Turkic world.
Professor Vusal Gasimli was awarded in the category of “Economic Science” for his outstanding contributions to enhancing economic cooperation across the Turkic world, implementing joint scientific research projects, and fostering collaboration among think tanks.
At the ceremony, which was held with the support of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), TİKA, YTB, and the EVKAF Foundation, awards were presented in 15 categories across various scientific disciplines.
As part of its cooperation with the OTS, CAERC publishes the quarterly “Turkic Economic Review” in eight languages. Under the scientific editorship of Vusal Gasimli, the English-language books “Economy of the Turkic States” and “Middle Corridor: Analysis of Current Realities and Assessment of Perspectives” offer in-depth analyses of the economic dynamics of Turkic countries, large-scale joint projects, trade, transportation, logistics, and other areas. These publications are presented at leading global think tanks and academic conferences and are widely used as educational and research materials.
