Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms (CAERC) Speaks at the Final Event of “PeşəFest-2025” in Baku
Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms (CAERC), delivered a speech at the final event of “PeşəFest-2025” held in Baku, organized by the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population.
Held under the slogan “Learn a profession, build your future!”, the event aimed to support students and young people in making informed career choices and taking the right steps toward their professional development.
The event was attended by Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Anar Aliyev, Chairperson of the Board of the State Examination Center Maleyka Abbaszadeh, Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Labor and Social Policy Musa Guliyev, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Indira Hajiyeva, as well as leaders of educational institutions, teenagers, and young participants.
In his speech, the Executive Director of CAERC highlighted the current state of vocational education in Azerbaijan, global development trends in the field, particularly innovations related to the energy transition and artificial intelligence. He also emphasized key aspects such as demand-supply alignment in vocational sectors, public-private partnerships, expanding the scope of training processes, and implementing per capita funding mechanisms.
“PeşəFest-2025” brought together around 80,000 participants from 10 districts and the capital, Baku. The festival featured educational and awareness-raising events across 14 professions, including: cybersecurity, data analytics, helpdesk support, 3D animation, jewelry design, tourism organization, carpentry, auto repair technician, food engineering, confectionery, rescue services, barista, dental technician, and veterinary science.
Participants had the opportunity to gain useful insights into the paths for developing in these professions, the skills required, and how to choose a relevant specialty. They also interacted directly with professionals in these fields.
