Vusal Gasimli to speak at the International Finance and Banking Summit

Professor Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) and Doctor of Economic Sciences, will deliver an opening speech at the "International Finance & Banking Summit 2026: Global Financial Integration of Turkic States," to be held in Baku on June 9–10, 2026.

The summit is organized to strengthen financial cooperation among Turkic states and countries of the region, ensure a more effective integration of financial systems into global economic processes, and formulate a shared financial vision. Designed as a high-level international platform, the event will be held with the support of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, the Council of Bank Associations of Turkic States (CBATS), the banking associations of Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, the Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan, and other partner organizations.

Professor Vusal Gasimli will share his views on the new phase of economic and financial integration among Turkic states, the development of regional capital markets, the promotion of mutual investments, and the opportunities created by digital transformation in the financial sector.

The summit's agenda features topical themes such as regional integration and international cooperation, digital transformation in banking, the development of payment and settlement systems, open banking and API ecosystems, AI-driven financial solutions and automation, cybersecurity and fraud prevention, compliance and AML/CFT mechanisms, alternative banking models including Islamic finance, sustainable and green finance, investment opportunities, human capital development, capacity building, and financial literacy.

The two-day summit will bring together more than 50 influential local and international experts, over 270 companies and organizations, as well as more than 1,500 participants. Within the framework of the program, 9 panel discussions dedicated to the core trends, challenges, and development prospects of the global finance and banking sector will be conducted.
