Vusal Qasimli spoke at the roundtable of think tanks
Vusal Qasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, spoke at the roundtable titled "Social and Political Sciences in the Face of Modern Challenges: The Role of Think Tanks, Academic Science, and Universities," dedicated to the speech of President Ilham Aliyev on the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
He emphasized the importance of using global experience and implementing proper modeling for the scientific development of Azerbaijan. He noted that an approach based on joint participation of the state and private sector should be formed in this area.
Vusal Qasimli pointed out that models applied by China, the USA, and Israel could serve as examples for Azerbaijan. He highlighted the strong integration of universities into innovation processes in China and the USA, while Israel stands out for supporting scientific projects in collaboration with government orders and business structures. He further added that Azerbaijan's development potential is significant, and creating a structured approach within the scientific environment is essential for realizing this potential.
During the event held at the Social Research Center, the main challenges faced by social and political sciences in the modern era, alignment of scientific research with state policy, the role of science in shaping strategic decisions, and the responsibility of the academic environment against the backdrop of global processes were discussed.
