Indicative planning meetings for the 2026 targets under the Social and Economic Development Strategy have been concluded
Within the framework of the “2022–2026 Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication has concluded its meetings with representatives of relevant state institutions to clarify and plan the target indicators for the final results set for 2026.
The discussions brought together 110 representatives from 32 relevant state institutions responsible for implementing the measures outlined in the Strategy. The meetings reviewed the tasks ahead for 2026, and institutions were provided with recommendations on defining quantitative and qualitative indicators to enable effective monitoring and evaluation at the end of the period.
In line with the objectives of the Strategy, views were exchanged on enhancing the effectiveness, targeting and transparency of support mechanisms for entrepreneurs, diversifying non-oil and gas commodity and service exports, developing sustainable and competitive agriculture and agribusiness, ensuring the dynamic development of the Culture and Creative Industries (CCI), improving the competitive environment in the economy, maintaining macroeconomic stability, strengthening fiscal regulation, increasing employment efficiency, enhancing the provision of sustainable social services for socially vulnerable population groups, improving the quality of general education and developing the innovation ecosystem. Discussions also covered further work to be carried out in other areas, including improving the quality and accessibility of medical services, ensuring effective waste management and expanding the use of renewable energy sources.
It should be noted that the monitoring and evaluation of the measures envisaged in the Strategy are carried out by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication on the basis of an order from the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
