The Use of Digital Technologies as a PR Tool to Be Discussed

The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan will organize a training session titled “The Use of Digital Technologies as a PR Tool.”

The training, organized by the One-Stop Export Support Center, will be conducted by Azerbaijan’s well-known PR specialist Azer Nazarov, who studied at the University of Maryland in the United States under the Humphrey Fellowship Program. The main objective of the training is to provide Azerbaijani entrepreneurs with information on the steps they should take to promote their products in foreign markets.

According to CAERC PR Manager Zanura Talibova, participation in the training could be highly beneficial for companies and entrepreneurs seeking to sell their products abroad and experiencing difficulties in identifying foreign markets. The training, designed particularly for specialists from exporting companies, will cover topics such as developing a PR strategy, creating a target audience profile, identifying goals and platforms, preparing communication strategies for target audiences, and developing a content plan.

Nijat Hajizada, Manager of the One-Stop Export Support Center, emphasized that organizing such seminars is an important factor in promoting the “Made in Azerbaijan” brand and introducing it to international markets. “Based on the instructions and recommendations of President Ilham Aliyev, promoting Azerbaijani products in foreign markets and organizing their marketing and communication are among the primary objectives. One of the fundamental bases for achieving these goals is shaping an entrepreneurial mindset and raising awareness,” he stated. According to Hajizada, these trainings, aimed at increasing the competitiveness of Azerbaijan in foreign markets, will continue in the future. Entrepreneurs participating in the trainings learn about selling products in foreign markets, applying international standards, and using financial instruments.

PR specialist Azer Nazarov, speaking about the reasons for organizing the training on the use of digital technologies as a PR tool, noted: “Before exporting a product and finding buyers, it is crucial to build the image of the product or the producing organization. Today, this requires the use of modern PR tools. It is encouraging that CAERC and the One-Stop Export Support Center are organizing such training to facilitate the export process and help local entrepreneurs build their image. The introduction in Azerbaijan of modern strategies used by export-oriented institutions in developed countries to enhance recognition is a very positive step. During this training, we will share technical and practical knowledge necessary for promoting local export-oriented entrepreneurs abroad and building their image. Participants will gain knowledge on building and protecting image through digital tools, conducting market analysis, developing a Digital PR strategy, and defining target audience profiles. I believe that entrepreneurs who apply this knowledge in their future activities will gain greater trust and credibility for their export-oriented products abroad.”

It should be noted that the media support for the training is provided by www.premark.az, iqtisadiislahat.org, and xeberler.az, a website widely covering developments in the ICT sector.

The sponsors of the training include CAERC, the Azexport portal, the Digital Trade Hub, the One-Stop Export Support Center, and PreMark – Professional PR and Media Consulting Services.
