The January issue of "Exports Review" has been presented

According to the January issue of the Export Review, during 2021, the total export of Azerbaijan amounted to 22.2 billion US dollars with 2.7 billion US dollars in the non-oil sector. Non-oil export has increased by 870 million US dollars or 47.2% in comparison with 2020. During 2021, the share of fruits and vegetables in the non-oil export has increased by 22.9 million US dollars, amounting to 630.4 million US dollars, in comparison with 2020. During the period, the share of cotton yarn in the non-oil export has increased 3.1 times, chemical industry products – 2.9 times, ferrous metals and products made of them – twice, aluminum and products made of it – by  66.2%, cotton fiber – by 58.3 percent, and sugar  – by 19.3 percent.

In January-December 2021, raw cotton (208 million US dollars) took first place among exported products of the non-oil sector. Gold (202.5 million US dollars) and tomatoes (160.2 million US dollars) shared second and third places.

In January-December 2021, the value of non-oil products exported to the Russian Federation amounted to 877.8 million US dollars, Turkey – 675.9 million US dollars, Switzerland – 224.1 million US dollars, Georgia – 157.5 million US dollars, and to the United States of America – 40.9 million US dollars.

In the period of normalization, the export in December amounted to 2.4 billion US dollars. With a 73.9% increase, the volume of the non-oil export amounted to 353.6 million US dollars. During December 2021, food export has increased by 38.7% in comparison with the same month of 2020 and reached 101.5 million US dollars, and non-food exports have increased by 93.7% reaching 252.1 million US dollars.

In December 2021, Russian Federation (114 million US dollars) topped the list of countries where the largest part of non-oil goods are exported. Turkey was second (89.8 million US dollars) and Switzerland was third (19.5 million US dollars).

In December 2021, persimmon (34.4 million US dollars) took first place among exported products of the non-oil sector. Other primary substances formed as a result of polymerization (26.9 million US dollars) and carbamide (25.1 million US dollars) shared second and third places.

The Export Review provided a rating of exporting governmental and non-governmental organizations, engaged in the non-oil export, for January-December 2021.

The top ten companies in the ranking of non-governmental exporters in January-December 2021 are the following: MKT Industrial Commerce LLC, Representation of Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Local Garden LLC, Baku Steel Company LLC, P-Agro LLC, Sun Food LLC, Tayyar Hidayat Hidayatov, Azerbaijan Sugar Production Association LLC, Chinar Agro LLC, and RAM International Transportation and Trade LLC.

 

The list of state-owned companies involved in export operations in the non-oil sector is headed by the SOCAR Marketing and Economic Operations Department. Next on this list are SOCAR Polymer LLC, Azeraluminium LLC, Azergold CJSC, Azercotton Agricultural and Industrial Complex LLC, Azerenergy OJSC, Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC, Azeripek LLC, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, and State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance.

 

In January-December 2021, Azercosmos OJSC exported services (satellite telecommunication and optical services) worth 45.3 million US dollars to 41 countries of the world. Profit earned from the export of services amounted to 89 percent of the total profit of Azercosmos OJSC. In January-December 2021, the top five in exporting satellite telecommunication and optical services were France (11.4 million US dollars), the USA (10.4 million US dollars), the United Kingdom (9 million US dollars), Malaysia (6.9 million US dollars), and UAE (1.9 million US dollars).

 

In December 2021, the total cost of operations made by foreign citizens through bank cards in our country amounted to 171.7 million manats. In general, in January-December 2021, this figure was 1.3 billion manats.

The total amount of export orders submitted to the Azexport.az portal in January-December 2021 amounted to 496.1 million US dollars. In December 2021, the volume of export orders received by the portal amounted to 60.8 million US dollars. In December 2021, the list of most ordered goods from Azexport.az portal included cottonseed oil, chicken meat, wheat bran, apples, wine, peas, dates, tomatoes, potatoes, confectionery, etc. From January 2017 to December 31, 2021 (for 60 months), the value of export orders received by the portal Azexport.az from 145 countries amounted to 2.7 billion US dollars.

At the same time, according to the Export Review, during January 2022, the total cost of the non-oil export implemented through the One-Stop-Shop Export Support Center was 9 million US dollars.
