According to the June issue of the "Export Review" presented by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, the total export of Azerbaijan during January-May 2023 was 16.1 billion US dollars, and the export in the non-oil sector was 1.5 billion. It was US dollars. Exports in the non-oil sector increased by 22.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2022. During January-May 2023, exports of food products amounted to 334.4 million US dollars.
During January-May 2023, the export of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 5.9 times, the export of sugar by 43.8%, and the export of fruits and vegetables by 10.4%.
During January-May 2023, the statistical value of the joint export of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 16.9% and amounted to 349.1 million US dollars. The value created by agro-industrial products, which occupy a significant place in the composition of non-oil and gas exports, increased by 55.8% compared to the corresponding period of last year and amounted to 92.2 million US dollars.
Electricity ($313.9 million) topped the list of non-oil goods exported during January-May 2023. In this list, tomato (tomato) (91.5 million US dollars) is in the second place, and polypropylene in the initial form (57.2 million US dollars) is in the third place.
During January-May 2023, Turkey received 464.6 million US dollars, Russia 404 million US dollars, Georgia 161.2 million US dollars, Switzerland 53 million US dollars, and Kazakhstan 47.7 million US dollars to the non-oil sector. the related goods have been exported.
Non-oil exports in May 2023 amounted to 278.2 million US dollars. During May 2023, exports of food products amounted to 98.2 million US dollars, and exports of non-food products equaled 180 million US dollars.
In May 2023, Russia (118.8 million US dollars) rose to the first place in the list of countries that exported the most goods related to the non-oil sector. In this list, Turkey (US$59.2 million) was second and Georgia (US$18.6 million) was third.
In the list of goods belonging to the non-oil sector exported in May 2023, tomatoes (tomatoes) (US$ 37.3 million) are the first, potatoes (US$ 19.9 million) are the second, and other crude oils of high temperature expulsion of coal tar and products (17.1 million US dollars) was the third.
The rating of non-state and state-owned exporters was presented in the "Export Review" in the non-oil sector in January-May 2023.

The list of state-owned companies participating in export operations in the non-oil sector is headed by "Azerenergy" ATSC. Then, the following companies are represented in this list: "Marketing and Economic Operations Department" of SOCAR, "Socar Polymer" LLC, "Azeraluminum" LLC, "AzerGold" CJSC, "Azerpambig Agrarian Industrial Complex" LLC, "Azerbaijan Hava Yollari" JSC, "Azerbaijan Railways" JSC, "Azeripak" LLC, "ASK Tobacco" LLC.
In January-May 2023, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azerkosmos) exported satellite telecommunication services worth 7.8 million US dollars to 42 countries of the world. Azerkosmos' income from service exports made up 77 percent of its total income. In May 2023, "Azerkosmos" exported services worth 1.6 million US dollars to 40 countries of the world.
In the top five of satellite telecommunication services exports during January-May 2023, the United Kingdom with 2.2 million US dollars, Luxembourg with 1.7 million US dollars, the UAE with 689.8 thousand US dollars, 430.8 thousand US dollars with Germany and Pakistan with 363 thousand US dollars.
In January-May 2023, transactions worth 851.3 million manats were made with payment cards issued by other non-resident financial institutions in the payment service network belonging to banks, and in May alone, transactions worth 173.4 million manats were made.
