The February issue of "Exports Review" has been presented

According to the February issue of the "Export Review", in January 2022, Azerbaijan's exports amounted to 3.1 billion USD, 232,2 mln USD in the non-oil sector. Exports in the non-oil sector amounted to 86.2 million USD compared to 2021  or increased by 59%.

In January 2022, fruit and vegetable production increased by  15.8 million USD compared to the same period last year and amounted to  52.8 million USD. During the relavant period, exports of chemical products increased by 9.3 times, aluminum and aluminum products by 56.5%, cotton fiber by 56.4%, cotton yarn by 34.5%, sugar by 24.1%, ferrous metals and their productsby 10.2%.

During the normalization process, in January 2022, food exports increased by 31% and amounted to  60.2 million USD compared to the same month last year and non-food exports increased by 71.9% to reach 172 million USD.

In January 2022, Russian Federation (71.1 million US dollars) topped the list of countries where the largest part of non-oil goods are exported. Turkey was second (70,6 million US dollars) and Georgia was third (14,5 million US dollars).               

In January 2022, cotton wool (22,2million US dollars) took first place among exported products of the non-oil sector, persimmon was second (17,1 million US dollars) and hazelnut was third (15,9 million US dollars).

The Export Review has compiled a ranking of both non-governmental and governmental exporters in the non-oil sector in January 2022.

The top ten companies in the ranking of non-governmental exporters in January 2022 are the following: “MKT Industrial Commerce LLC”, Representation of “Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited” in the Republic of Azerbaijan, “Agrovest” LLC, “P-Agro” LLC,  “Chinar Agro” LLC,  “Almeyve” LLC,  “Product Service” LLC,  “ZR-78 Company” LLC,  “RAM International Transportation and Trade LTD” LLC, Nemet Yalchin Ogtay oğlu.

The list of state-owned companies involved in export operations in the non-oil sector is headed by the SOCAR “Marketing and Economic Operations Department”. Next on this list are “SOCAR Polymer” LLC, “Azeraluminium” LLC, “Azercotton Agricultural and Industrial Complex” LLC, “Azeripek” LLC, “Azerbaijan Airlines” CJSC, “Nakhchivan AR State Energy Service”, “Azəri M-I Drilling Fluids” LLC,  "Baku Metropolitan" CJSC, “EnerjiServisTikintiTəmirSazlama” LLC.

In January 2022, Azercosmos OJSC exported services (satellite telecommunication and optical services) worth 2 million US dollars to 29 countries of the world. Profit earned from the export of services amounted to 83 percent of the total profit of Azercosmos OJSC.

In January 2022, the top five in exporting satellite telecommunication and optical services were United Kingdom (0.5 million US dollars), USA (0.4 million US dollars), France (0.4 million US dollars), UAE (0.2 million US dollars), and Pakistan (0.1 million US dollars).

In January 2022, the total cost of operations made by foreign citizens through bank cards in our country amounted to 204.7 million AZN.

The total amount of export orders submitted to the Azexport.az portal in January 2022 amounted to 45.2 million US dollars. In January 2022,  the list of most ordered goods from Azexport.az portal included chicken meat,  chicken egg, wine,date, tomato, cottonseed oil,butter, construction materials, tobacco, engine oil, cotton fibre and etc. It should be noted that from January 2017 to January 31, 2022 (during 61 months) the value of export orders received by the Azexport.az  portal  from 145 countries amounted to 2.8 billion US dollars.

At the same time, according to the Export Review, during February 2022, the total cost of the non-oil export implemented through the One-Stop-Shop Export Support Center was 17 million US dollars.
