On February 27, a meeting was held under the leadership of the Chairman of the Economic Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Ali Asadov. The agenda focused on detailed discussions regarding the draft "Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027–2030" and its core targets, arising from the instructions in the President's Order dated May 30, 2025.
The meeting also addressed the draft "II State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan," as well as economic growth in 2025, its primary drivers, and the current situation across various sectors of activity. Furthermore, the status of macroeconomic and financial stability as of the end of 2025, policy directions, and other current matters were thoroughly discussed.
Deputy Prime Ministers Samir Sharifov and Shahin Mustafayev, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, and the Chairman of the Central Bank Taleh Kazimov delivered speeches on the agenda items. Members of the Economic Council provided their opinions and proposals regarding the issues presented during the meeting.
At the conclusion of the session, relevant instructions were issued concerning the draft "Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027–2030" and other discussed matters.
