The Center for Analysis of Economic Reform and Communication (CAERC) Hosted a Meeting with Representatives of the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Azerbaijan
During the meeting Head of the Strategic Analysis and Planning of the CAERC Ayaz Museyibov provided detailed information about economic reforms carried out in the country, the high rank of Azerbaijan in Doing Business report, application of strategic governance in Azerbaijan, monitoring and evaluation activities of the CAERC, as well as about such innovative projects of the Center as Azexport.az, EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com, Digital Trade Hub, Azranking.az and One-Stop-Shop Export Support Center. He also informed about the investment opportunities and reconstruction projects in Karabakh.
Mr. Takeya Yukihiro, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Azerbaijan said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Japan in 1992, they have been constantly developing in political, economic and cultural spheres. He mentioned that 2022 will mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Azerbaijan. Moreover, he stated that Azerbaijan has a favorable investment climate, which raise great interest. During the meeting, the participants discussed the establishment of relations between the CAERC and relevant think tanks in Japan.
Vusala Jafarova, Head of the Projects Department of the CAERC, and Ono Masatoshi, Attaché for Economic and Trade Affairs of the Embassy, also exchanged views on the country's development priorities in building sustainable infrastructure, regional development and attracting foreign direct investment.
In the end, the guests were provided with reviews on economic reforms in Azerbaijan.
