The 2nd International Conference of Leading National Think Tanks of the Organization of Turkic States Will Be Held in Baku Jointly Organized by CAERC and OTS
Jointly organized by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) and the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the "2nd International Conference of Leading National Think Tanks of the Organization of Turkic States" will be held on September 16, 2026, at the Gulustan Palace.
Dedicated to the theme "Strengthening Economic Cooperation in the Organization of Turkic States through Continuous Consultations and Joint Research," the conference aims to deepen economic integration among Turkic states against the backdrop of transformations occurring in the global economic system, establish shared research platforms, and reinforce institutional cooperation.
The opening ceremony of the conference is scheduled to feature speeches by Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Division of the Presidential Administration; Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States; and Professor Vusal Qasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
As a high-level international platform, the event will bring together representatives of state entities, heads of leading think tanks, academic circles, representatives of international organizations, financial institutions, and the business community. The objective of the conference is not only to organize scientific and analytical discussions, but also to form long-term research networks in the Turkic world, foster continuous dialogue among experts, and contribute to supporting policy decisions with scientific foundations.
In accordance with the conference agenda, three main panels will be organized. The first panel will discuss the role of the Middle Corridor as a catalyst for regional integration and infrastructure-based development; the second panel will examine the current state and development potential of trade and economic relations among OTS countries; and the third panel will address innovation, economic transformation, digitalization, and artificial intelligence-based development models for sustainable development. Heads of leading think tanks, renowned scholars, and international experts from member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States will deliver speeches during the panel sessions.
The outcomes of the "2nd International Conference of Leading National Think Tanks of the Organization of Turkic States" are expected to contribute to deepening economic integration in the Turkic world, forming a shared economic space, expanding research and innovation cooperation, as well as advancing the strategic goals outlined in the "Turkic World Vision – 2040" document.
