CAERC and the Academy of Public Administration Hold Seminar in Honor of Human Rights Day
A seminar titled "Human Rights: Modern Trends and Legal Protection Mechanisms" was held at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) in honor of Human Rights Day. The event was organized by the Reform Volunteers with the support of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The seminar was opened with introductory remarks by Elnur Alakbarov, Head of the Economic Analysis Department. He spoke about the importance of raising public awareness on human rights and emphasized the need to strengthen young people's knowledge and legal awareness in this field.
Professor Isakhan Valiyev, Head of the Law Department at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, addressed the role of human rights in building the rule of law, international legal approaches, and the issues currently relevant in this field.
As part of the seminar, Gulnaz Alasgarova, PhD in Law, Associate Professor and lecturer at the Law Department, delivered a detailed presentation on the topic, providing information on new trends in the field of human rights, national and international protection mechanisms, and the institutional and legal instruments used to ensure rights and freedoms.
Held in an interactive format, the seminar concluded with a question-and-answer session and an exchange of views among the participants.
