Ilyas Huseynov, Head of the Turkic World Research Center (TWRC) at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), held meetings with representatives from think tanks and higher education institutions, and delivered a lecture to students, within the framework of the "Forum on Social Research and Innovations of the Turkic World" held in Uzbekistan.

During a meeting with Mirshohid Aslanov, Director General of the Center for Progressive Reforms of Uzbekistan, and economist Saadat Osmanova, the discussion focused on developing cooperation in the field of research, enhancing the attractiveness and competitiveness of the Middle Corridor, expanding regional trade relations, and implementing joint research initiatives. The parties also discussed digital transformation strategies in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, as well as the opportunities created by digital platforms and data exchange mechanisms for small and medium-sized enterprises. Emphasis was placed on the contribution of these mechanisms to cross-border cooperation, the expansion of market access, and the accessibility of business-related information.

During a meeting with Azamat Toshev, Head of the Economic Research Department at the International Institute for Central Asia (Uzbekistan), an international book project titled "Digital Economy of the Turkic States: Global Trends, Regional Realities, and Future Prospects"—jointly implemented by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) and the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS)—was presented. Additionally, views were exchanged regarding a project to develop an interactive geoeconomic map of the Turkic states, an initiative planned by CAERC. At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was reached to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between CAERC and the International Institute for Central Asia.

Ilyas Huseynov also visited the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. During a meeting with Fazliddin Nasriddinov, Head of the Sector for the Study and Forecasting of Macroeconomic Policy Parameters, and Islombek Saparmatov, a leading researcher in the same sector, the parties reviewed the priorities for cooperation and the tasks stemming from the Memorandum of Understanding previously signed between CAERC and CERR. Furthermore, detailed information was provided regarding the "Turkic Economic Review," which is prepared through the joint cooperation of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) and the OTS Secretariat, and is published four times a year in eight languages.

It should be noted that representatives of the aforementioned think tanks also participated in the 2nd International Conference of Leading National Analytical Centers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held on September 16, 2026, at the Gulustan Palace in Baku, organized by the AIR Center and the OTS Secretariat. The connections established during this conference—which focused on the theme "Strengthening Economic Cooperation within the Framework of the Organization of Turkic States through Ongoing Consultations and Joint Research"—were further developed during the meetings in Uzbekistan, where potential avenues for future cooperation were also explored.

Ilyas Huseynov also met with the faculty and academic staff of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, the Tashkent State Transport University, the Tashkent State University of Economics, and the Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature.
