CAERC representative participates in "Atlantic Council IMF - World Bank Week" events
Rashad Najafli, Deputy Head of the Economic Analysis Department at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), is participating in the "Atlantic Council IMF-World Bank Week" events held in Washington, D.C., USA. These events are organized within the framework of the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB), which play a crucial role in shaping the global economic agenda.
This prestigious platform brings together leaders of the world's leading financial institutions, central bank representatives, policymakers, and experts from think tanks, providing a significant opportunity to discuss fundamental issues such as global economic growth prospects, financial stability, debt sustainability, and the impact of technological transformation on economic systems.
One of the particularly noteworthy initiatives within the framework of the events is the "Bretton Woods 2.0" project implemented by the Atlantic Council. This initiative presents strategic approaches toward rethinking the existing international financial system, adapting it to global challenges, and forming a more inclusive and resilient economic architecture. Key topics of these discussions include new geopolitical realities, risks of global economic fragmentation, and access to financial resources for developing countries.
The participation of the CAERC representative in this high-level platform demonstrates Azerbaijan's growing role in the international economic dialogue and the global interest in the data-driven governance approaches implemented in the country. At the same time, this participation facilitates the international presentation of innovative expertise gained in the monitoring and evaluation of state programs.
Held at a time when the global economy faces increasing uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, and financial risks, these meetings hold special significance in terms of forming new approaches to the activities of international financial institutions. Azerbaijan's representation in this process is a clear indication of the country's strategic vision, institutional capacity, and policy of openness toward international cooperation.
