CAERC Division Head Awarded PhD in Economics
Orkhan Sadigov, Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Division at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), has been awarded a PhD in Economics. He was granted this degree in the specialty "5301.01-Internal Fiscal Policy and Public Finance" by the relevant decision of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Orkhan Sadigov is the author of more than 20 scientific and journalistic articles published in Azerbaijan and many countries around the world, including those indexed in the Scopus database. He has been involved in pedagogical activities at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, and Azerbaijan University, and currently continues his teaching career.
Orkhan Sadigov served as an inspector at the Ministry of Taxes of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2016, and as a consultant and senior consultant in the Finance of Economic Sectors Division of the Ministry of Finance from 2016 to 2020. Between 2020 and 2023, he worked as the Head of the Sector for Finance of State-owned Entities and Entities with a State-controlled Stake within the Finance of Economic Sectors Division at the Ministry of Finance. From June 2024, he was appointed Head of the Efficiency Evaluation Sector in the Monitoring and Evaluation Division of CAERC, and since August of the same year, he has been serving as the Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Division.
