Vusala Jafarova, Head of the Turkic World Research Center operating under the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), participated in the International Conference of Leading Think Tanks of the Turkic States Organization Member Countries held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

The conference was organized by the Center for Economic Research and Reforms under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the support of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). The event was dedicated to the theme “Enhancing Trade Potential Among Member States of the Organization of Turkic States: Joint Research and Strategic Solutions.”

Representatives of prominent think tanks engaged in discussions on expanding trade turnover among Turkic states, digital trade and innovations, regional integration and infrastructure projects, green economy, and socio-demographic challenges.

Vusala Jafarova delivered a presentation titled “Azerbaijan’s Strategic Role in Regional Integration” during the “Regional Integration and Infrastructure Projects” session. In her address, she provided insights into Azerbaijan’s potential as a transit country, the projects implemented to strengthen regional connectivity among Turkic states, investments made in the country’s transit infrastructure, and future goals concerning the digitalization of transit corridors.

The conference was also attended by Deputy Secretary General of the OTS, Merey Mukajan, Vice President of the Turkic Academy, Askhat Kesikbayev, and representatives of leading think tanks from OTS member states.

The event is expected to lay the foundation for a new phase of institutional cooperation among analytical centers of the Turkic World. The materials presented will serve as a basis for the development of unified economic strategies and the enhancement of research-based collaboration among the member countries.
