CAERC Sector Head Participates in International AI Seminar in China
Elshan Yusifli, Sector Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), has participated in a seminar titled "Building Artificial Intelligence in Developing Countries," held in Nanjing, China.
The seminar covered the enhancement of participants' professional skills in artificial intelligence and digital policy, the study of China's advanced practices in technological innovation and AI, the promotion of digital cooperation among partner countries, and other relevant areas.
As part of the seminar, classroom lectures and practical training sessions were complemented by field visits to Hefei — one of China's leading centers of technological innovation — as well as to state and private industrial enterprises engaged in the application of AI and robotics systems. Training sessions featured extensive discussion of AI governance and ethics frameworks, smart manufacturing, and digital transformation trends.
At the closing ceremony, during presentations by representatives of participating countries, Elshan Yusifli delivered a report on the topic "Application of Artificial Intelligence in the Monitoring and Evaluation of State Programmes," presenting CAERC's advanced experience in this field to the audience.
Azerbaijan was represented at the event by CAERC alongside delegations from the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
