A CAERC Representative Spoke at an International Seminar held in Kazakhstan
Abdulrahim Dadashov, Deputy Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation division of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), delivered a speech at an international seminar organized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
At the seminar dedicated to the topic “Managing the Shadow Economy,” participants discussed international experiences related to measuring the shadow economy, tax administration strategies, and effective risk management. Presentations reflecting the current situation in the participating countries were heard, followed by discussions with experts.
Abdulrahim Dadashov made a presentation on the measures implemented in Azerbaijan to combat the shadow economy. He shared the country’s experience in tax reforms, expansion of electronic services, and increasing economic transparency with the audience.
The event was organized by the IMF’s Regional Capacity Development Center for the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia (CCAMTAC) and brought together 28 representatives from 10 countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia region. The seminar provided participants with an opportunity to learn about progressive approaches to managing the shadow economy and to become familiar with the experiences of different countries.
At the end of the event, participants were awarded certificates.
