A representative of the CAERC participated in the IMF international seminar held in Kazakhstan

Orkhan Sadigov, Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), participated in a regional seminar held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, organized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Regional Capacity Strengthening Center for the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia (CCAMTAC).

The seminar, focused on “The Climate Factor in the Macroeconomic Framework,” brought together 26 participants from seven countries in the Caucasus and Central Asia region. In addition to CAERC, representatives from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and the State Statistical Committee also attended.

The event included presentations and discussions on the effective management of climate change and its economic impacts, fiscal policies implemented in this area, and the applied macroeconomic frameworks, as well as the current situation in the participating countries.

The seminar provided participants with the opportunity to learn about progressive approaches to managing climate change and to become familiar with the experiences of different countries.
