Advisor to the Executive Director of CAERC delivers presentation at the DT4SME research program

Tarana Salifova, Advisor to the Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), participated in the final conference of the international “Digital Transformation of SMEs” (DT4SME) research program held at the University of Mannheim in Germany. She presented the group research titled “Investigating Efficiency of Cotton Growers and its Determinants in Azerbaijan: An application of the DEA and Tobit analysis.”

During the five-day program, participants attended academic seminars, discussions, and presentations on digitalization, innovation, and the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. Research teams from Azerbaijan, as well as Moldova, Ukraine, and Georgia, joined the program and showcased the outcomes of their two-year research projects.

As part of the visit to the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), participants were introduced to the university’s innovation ecosystem, engaged in knowledge exchange on the “Real-World Laboratory Research” approach, and explored potential cooperation opportunities with the “Gründerschmiede” startup center.

The event was organized by the University of Mannheim’s Center for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Research and Entrepreneurship.
