A meeting was held at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) with an academic delegation visiting our country from Türkiye as part of the "Know Azerbaijan" program. Organized by the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), the program included representatives from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart, Sakarya, Erciyes, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli, Hacettepe, and Sivas Cumhuriyet universities, as well as the Institute of Asian Studies, Ankara Institute of Humanitarian Sciences, Institute of Turkic Studies, and the Center for Middle Eastern Strategic Studies (ORSAM).
Ramil Huseyn, Deputy Executive Director of CAERC, welcomed the guests and provided information on the Center's core activities and principles of operation. He stated that during its 10 years of operation, CAERC has monitored and evaluated the implementation of more than 40 state programs, forming a "big data" repository and contributing significantly to the application of a data-driven management model. Ramil Huseyn emphasized that CAERC is the largest economy-oriented think tank in the South Caucasus and a co-founder of the Azerbaijan Think Tanks Platform. In recent years, the Center has published books covering vital topics such as the "Economy of Turkic States," the "Middle Corridor," and the "Economic Potential of Islamic Countries," and prepares the quarterly "Turkic Economic Review" in cooperation with the Organization of Turkic States.
Bagish Ahmadov, Advisor to the Executive Director of CAERC, informed the participants about the country's investment climate and trade relations with various nations.
Elshan Yusifli, Head of the Sector for Monitoring Sectoral Programs within the Monitoring and Evaluation Division, delivered an extensive presentation on the portal created for the monitoring and evaluation of the "Great Return" program and the ongoing work in this field.
Ilyas Huseynov, Head of the Turkic World Research Center (TWRC) at CAERC, provided information on the "Turkic Economic Review," which is published in eight languages in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States. He also highlighted the broad perspectives for cooperation between universities and think tanks.
During the meeting, participants were provided with comprehensive information on Azerbaijan's green energy policy, transport infrastructure, employment development priorities in Karabakh and East Zangezur, and the country's role against the backdrop of changing geoeconomic realities.
The discussions held within the framework of the program continued with a Q&A session and a mutual exchange of ideas.
