A meeting of the Working Group on "Environmental Issues" was held to discuss the monitoring and evaluation of the actions carried out in the first half of the current year within the framework of the targets set by the “Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022–2026”.

Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Vugar Karimov, stated that the measures outlined under the Strategy’s goal of ensuring a “High-Quality Environmental Environment” are being successfully implemented by the responsible institutions.

Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), Ayaz Museyibov, spoke about the work completed within the framework of the Strategy and the tasks ahead.

Subsequently, Deputy Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department at CAERC, Abdulrahim Dadashev, presented a report on the results of monitoring and evaluation regarding the implementation of the “High-Quality Environmental Environment” goal.

Following the presentation, discussions were held among the members of the Working Group. Opinions and suggestions were voiced, recommendations were provided to enhance the efficiency of the implementation process, and the next steps were identified.

The Working Group on "Environmental Issues" includes representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, as well as the Ministries of Economy, Finance, Science and Education, Agriculture, Emergency Situations, Digital Development and Transport, and Energy. Other participating institutions include the State Statistical Committee, the State Tourism Agency, the State Water Resources Agency, the Food Safety Agency, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance, the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB), the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC, and Tamiz Shahar JSC.
