“Azexport” Portal to Support the Development of Kazakhstan’s Digital Export Ecosystem
A working meeting was held between the “Azexport.az” portal and the “QazTrade” Trade Policy Development Center under the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan. The main purpose of the meeting was to study Azerbaijan’s successful electronic export model and to discuss the possibilities of applying this experience within a similar platform planned to be established in Kazakhstan.
The delegation from Kazakhstan, one of the leading countries in Central Asia in the application of digital solutions, became closely acquainted with the operational mechanisms of the “Azexport” portal. Within the framework of the meeting, the legal and technical teams of QazTrade received comprehensive information on the portal’s management principles, integration models with international e-commerce organizations, as well as export order processing and logistics management processes.
The parties discussed the adaptation of the digital infrastructure developed by Azexport to Kazakhstan’s export potential, as well as issues related to mutual technological exchange.
Head of the “Azexport.az” portal, Aykhan Gadashov, noted that the international interest in Azerbaijan’s digital export platform model is a source of pride. He emphasized that cooperation with QazTrade is not limited to documentation, but is based on real technology and experience exchange. According to him, the goal is not only to facilitate entrepreneurs’ access to digital markets, but also to form a digital trade ecosystem across the region that meets unified standards. He added that the technical discussions and experience exchange with Kazakh colleagues will expand export opportunities for both countries.
Executive Director of QazTrade, Aynur Amirbekova, underlined the importance of the meeting, noting that the economies of the two countries have complementary structures. She stated that joint initiatives in the development of digital trade will increase the competitiveness of businesses across the region. According to her, this cooperation opens broad opportunities for knowledge exchange for both QazTrade and Azexport and will enable more flexible management of export processes.
Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding previously signed between the parties, cooperation is envisaged in promoting trade, implementing joint projects in the field of the digital economy, and exchanging information on the regulatory framework supporting exports. The current technical meetings constitute an integral part of the practical implementation of this memorandum.
In the future, the parties plan to expand cooperation in developing joint digital exhibition and trade platforms, supporting the startup ecosystem, and organizing training programs in the field of the digital economy.
