Regional conferences on the agricultural sector's development priorities for 2026–2030 are continuing. The next conference covered the Gazakh-Tovuz economic region. Conducted upon the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the event featured the participation of responsible officials from the Presidential Administration, heads of relevant state entities, representatives of local executive authorities, farmers, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders.

Held in the city of Shamkir for the Gazakh-Tovuz economic region, the conference hosted extensive discussions on the priority directions of agriculture. At the event, Natig Amirov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department for Economic Policy and Industrial Issues of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Ilhama Gadimova, Deputy Minister of Agriculture; Aghakerim Samadzade, First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources; Ilham Bayramov, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, and other authorized representatives provided information regarding the measures scheduled under the State Program. The conference covered discussions on the current status, development perspectives, and upcoming tasks of viticulture, potato growing, grain growing, and animal husbandry sectors across the Agstafa, Gadabay, Gazakh, Shamkir, and Tovuz districts.

Baghis Ahmadov, Advisor to the Executive Director of CAERC, participated in the conference held for the Gazakh-Tovuz economic region.

The proposals of farmers and entrepreneurs were heard at the conference, and the importance of coordinated action among relevant state entities, local executive authorities, and the private sector was emphasized for the efficient local implementation of the State Program.

It should be noted that regional conferences on the agricultural sector's development priorities for 2026–2030 were previously organized in the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, Ganja-Dashkasan, Central Aran, Mountainous Shirvan, Absheron-Khizi, Guba-Khachmaz, and Lankaran-Astara economic regions. Regional conferences serve to accelerate the execution of the State Program, utilize the existing potential in the agricultural field more efficiently, and identify priority directions across the regions. The continuation of events in this direction is scheduled for other economic regions of the country as well.
