The Azexport.az portal of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan has held the first seminar within the framework of the “Expansion of Azerbaijan–America Trade Relations” project. The purpose of the training is to increase entrepreneurs’ awareness and enable them to access American markets more easily with Azerbaijani products.
The head of the Azexport.az portal, Ayxan Qadašov, stated that the seminar—organized by Azexport.az with the support of “AmCham Azerbaijan” and the U.S.-based “MITA – Full Service Marketplace Agency”—provided participants on its first day with introductory information on e-commerce platforms operating in the United States and globally, along with a comparative analysis of these platforms. More than 60 entrepreneurs participated in the first training session.
The series of seminars will provide participants with information on topics such as the operational principles of international e-commerce platforms in real time, market research tailored to the requirements of the U.S. market, product selection, market entry strategies, company establishment in the United States, and planning of banking and tax procedures.
Ayxan Qadašov also noted that modern information and communication technologies enable hundreds of entrepreneurs from different regions of the country to communicate more easily with both local and international experts, while also saving time and reducing logistical and organizational costs. “During the pandemic period, the portal organized around 30 online trainings, meetings, and seminars. With each session, we observe growing interest in online training formats and an increasing level of digital literacy among participants. In my view, the pandemic has played a positive role in accelerating the adoption of ICT technologies among entrepreneurs, students, and citizens in the country,” he said.
It is noted that the next seminars of the “Expansion of Azerbaijan–America Trade Relations” project will be held on September 4, 7, and 9.
