Azerbaijan-China Relations: Formation and Perspectives
Azerbaijan is a very important partner for China, and China is also a very important partner for Azerbaijan. Almost 34 years have passed since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. The recognition of Azerbaijan's independence by the People's Republic of China in December 1991 and the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations in April 1992 marked the beginning of a new phase in Azerbaijan-China relations.
The prominent statesman and National Leader Heydar Aliyev made exceptional contributions to the formation and development of Azerbaijan-China relations. Statistical figures also show that the relations between the two countries have been developing along an upward trajectory. The President's upcoming visit to the People's Republic of China will create a new chapter in the relations between our countries and will contribute to the formation of more intensive economic and transportation-transit relations.
