Moody's: growing influence of the middle corridor boosts economic prospects
Strengthening regional connectivity and integration between members through the Trans-Caspian International East-West Middle Corridor connecting Europe-Turkey-South Caucasus-Central Asia-China, optimizing transport operations, customs procedures and ensuring rapid digitalization are among the main challenges of the modern era.
The report of the International Rating Agency “Moody’s” dated July 05, 2024 also notes that the growing influence of the Middle Corridor as an important transport hub is boosting economic prospects and its impact will be felt over time. The report notes that Azerbaijan’s strategy to create a highly digitalized, green zone in the liberated regions can support the interest of more foreign investors.
In general, the Middle Corridor, as a locomotive that drives economic diversification and investment attractiveness, is a value chain that allows transportation from China to Europe to cover 7 thousand kilometers in 12 days, instead of 10 thousand.
