A regular hybrid meeting of the "Green Energy Zone" Working Group was held to discuss the draft annual report on the 2025 implementation of the "Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026."

Chaired by Deputy Minister of Energy Samir Valiyev, the meeting highlighted the pivotal role of the "Green Energy Zone" objective within the Socio-Economic Development Strategy as a primary pillar of the country's future development model. The Deputy Minister noted that the planned measures in this direction will ensure Azerbaijan's transition to a sustainable, environmentally friendly, and innovative energy system, while simultaneously contributing to global climate goals. Samir Valiyev provided an update on the status of 18 measures planned for the previous year, emphasizing that the overall implementation of the Strategy continues with positive momentum.

Subsequently, Ramil Huseyn, Deputy Chairman of the Working Group and Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), presented the monitoring and evaluation report on the execution of measures scheduled for 2025. During the meeting, feedback and proposals regarding the report were heard, and relevant notes were recorded.

In addition to the Ministry of Energy and CAERC, the "Green Energy Zone" Working Group includes representatives from the Ministries of Economy, Ecology and Natural Resources, Agriculture, Digital Development and Transport, Finance, and Emergency Situations. The group also comprises officials from the State Statistics Committee, the State Committee for City Planning and Architecture, the State Customs Committee, SOCAR, the Central Bank, Azerbaijan Investment Holding, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, as well as "Azerenerji" OJSC, "Azerishig" OJSC, and "Azeristiliktechizat" OJSC.
