Work on the “Food Safety” textbook, being prepared within the framework of cooperation between the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) and the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AFSA), is ongoing.

As part of the next stage of the textbook preparation process, a meeting was held with the authors from AFSA involved in the project. During the meeting, the current status of the materials prepared for the sections included in the textbook was reviewed, and issues related to improving the content from scientific and methodological perspectives were discussed.

The meeting identified the tasks ahead regarding the level of completion of individual sections, coordination of the existing materials, incorporation of necessary additions, and editing of the texts. The importance of ensuring that all sections of the textbook are prepared based on a unified approach and concept, as well as maintaining terminological consistency and logical coherence between topics, was highlighted.

Experts from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), as well as a broad team of authors representing various government institutions, higher education institutions, and the private sector, are participating in the preparation of the project. The involvement of specialists from different fields enables the textbook to comprehensively cover the institutional, legal, scientific, economic, and practical aspects of food safety.

The textbook is intended to contribute to the systematic presentation of modern approaches and scientific and practical knowledge in the field of food safety, as well as to expanding educational and awareness-raising opportunities in this area.

At the next stage, work will continue on reviewing and editing the prepared sections, coordinating materials submitted by different authors within a unified content and methodological framework, and developing the final structure and content of the textbook.
