August Issue of the "Export Review" Published
The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication has presented the August 2026 issue of the “Export Review”. According to the Review, Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector exports (excluding non-monetary gold) amounted to USD 2.5 billion in January–July 2026, increasing by 18.3% compared to the corresponding period of 2025.
In July of the current year, Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector exports amounted to USD 384.8 million, increasing by 15.8% compared to the same period of the previous year. During this period, exports of food products amounted to USD 123 million. Exports of non-food products increased by 26% to USD 261.8 million.
In January–July of the current year, exports of sugar increased 2.6-fold, cotton yarn by 81.9%, vegetable and animal fats and oils by 39.5%, aluminium and articles thereof by 39.4%, cotton fibre by 24.9%, ferrous metals and articles thereof by 23.3%, tea by 19.5%, fruits and vegetables by 16.4%, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by 3.0% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
In January–July 2026, exports of agricultural products increased by 22.1% to USD 673.4 million, while exports of agro-industrial products increased by 24.8% to USD 223.1 million. Overall, combined exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 22.8%, reaching USD 896.4 million.
During the reporting period, among the exported non-oil sector products (excluding non-monetary gold), gold ranked first with USD 239.4 million. Tomatoes ranked second with USD 172 million, followed by copper ores and concentrates in third place with USD 152 million.
In July 2026, peaches, including nectarines, ranked first among the exported non-oil sector products, with exports amounting to USD 46.8 million. Gold ranked second with USD 37.2 million, while other products in primary forms resulting from polymerization ranked third with USD 28.7 million.
In January–July 2026, non-oil sector products (excluding non-monetary gold) worth USD 731.7 million were exported to the Russian Federation, USD 390.6 million to Türkiye, USD 328.1 million to Georgia, USD 251.6 million to Switzerland, and USD 85 million to Ukraine.
In July 2026, non-oil sector products worth USD 135.5 million were exported to the Russian Federation, USD 48.3 million to Georgia, USD 39.8 million to Türkiye, USD 37.7 million to Switzerland, and USD 19.6 million to Spain.
The top ten non-state export entities in the ranking for January–July 2026 were represented by the following companies: Representative Office of Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Prime Cotton LLC, Azerbaijan Sugar Production Association LLC, Baku Steel Company CJSC, Prime Export LLC, Tabaterra LLC, Vvest Stream LLC, Agrarco LLC, Silk Way Airlines LLC, and Afa Export LLC.
The list of state-owned companies participating in export operations in the non-oil sector (excluding non-monetary gold) is headed by the Marketing and Economic Operations Department of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The list is followed by AzerGold CJSC, SOCAR Polymer LLC, Azeraluminium LLC, Azərpambıq Aqrar Sənaye Kompleksi LLC, Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC, the Gas Export Department of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerenerji OJSC, Nakhchivan Energy LLC, and SOCAR Cape LLC.
In January–June 2026, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (“Azercosmos”) provided telecommunications services to approximately 95 companies from 35 countries around the world. Satellite telecommunications services, considered a new-generation service export, play an important role in diversifying service exports.
In January–July 2026, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (“Azercosmos”) provided telecommunications services worth USD 15.2 million to approximately 95 companies from 35 countries around the world. Export operations accounted for 62% of total revenues generated during this period. During the reporting period, the top five destinations for exports of satellite telecommunications services were the United Kingdom with USD 2.5 million, Luxembourg with USD 1.9 million, Türkiye with USD 730.3 thousand, Pakistan with USD 669.3 thousand, and Egypt with USD 382.5 thousand.
