The April issue of the "Export Review" has been published

The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) has presented the April 2026 issue of the "Export Review." According to the review, in January–March 2026, Azerbaijan's non-oil exports increased by 11.7% compared to the same period in 2025, reaching 862 million USD. During this period, exports of food products rose by 25.1%, amounting to 281 million USD.

In the first three months of the current year, compared to the corresponding period of last year, exports of sugar increased 4.5 times, cotton yarn 2 times, fats and oils of vegetable and animal origin by 68.4%, cotton fiber by 43.5%, fruits and vegetables by 22.1%, aluminum and products made from it by 20.4%, tea by 15.1%, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by 4.3%.

From January to March 2026, exports of agricultural products increased by 26.6% to 215.6 million USD, while exports of agro-industrial products rose by 27.4% to 88 million USD. Collectively, the export of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 26.8%, totaling 303.7 million USD.

During the specified period, gold (95.3 million USD) ranked first in the list of exported non-oil sector goods, followed by hazelnuts (68.3 million USD) in second place, and copper ores (60.8 million USD) in third.

For the month of March 2026 specifically, gold (34.6 million USD) led the non-oil export list, with cotton fiber (25.5 million USD) ranking second and tomatoes (18.5 million USD) third.

In the first quarter of 2026, non-oil goods were exported to the Russian Federation (211.6 million USD), Türkiye (139.9 million USD), Georgia (120.7 million USD), Switzerland (103.4 million USD), and Ukraine (42.7 million USD).

In March 2026 alone, non-oil exports to the Russian Federation amounted to 62.5 million USD, Türkiye 56.5 million USD, Georgia 43.5 million USD, Switzerland 35.7 million USD, and Ukraine 13.7 million USD.

The top five companies in the ranking of non-state export entities for January–March 2026 include: the Representative Office of "Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited" in the Republic of Azerbaijan, "Prime Cotton" LLC, "Azerbaijan Sugar Production Association" LLC, "AGRARCO" LLC, and "Baku Steel Company" CJSC.

The list of state-owned companies involved in non-oil export operations is headed by "SOCAR POLYMER" LLC. Following it are "AzerGold" CJSC, "Azeraluminium" LLC, the "Marketing and Economic Operations" Division of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), "Azerpambig Agrarian Industrial Complex" LLC, "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC, the Gas Export Division of SOCAR, "Azerenerji" OJSC, "Socar Cape" LLC, and "Nakhchivan Energy" LLC.

In the first quarter of 2026, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azercosmos) exported telecommunications services worth 4.1 million USD to approximately 90 companies in 32 countries. Revenues from service exports accounted for 64% of Azercosmos's total revenue. The top five countries for satellite telecommunications service exports were the United Kingdom (1.1 million USD), Luxembourg (809.1 thousand USD), Türkiye (271.1 thousand USD), Pakistan (261.1 thousand USD), and Sweden (187.2 thousand USD).
