The 2025 Export Review Publication Has Been Released

The “Export Review” publication, issued by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), has released its first issue for 2026, focusing on the results of the previous year.

According to the review, Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports in 2025 reached 3.6 billion US dollars, an 8.1% increase compared to the same period in 2024. In this period, food product exports increased by 18.4%, reaching 1.2 billion US dollars.

In the January-December period of 2025, exports of sugar increased by 57.4%, fruits and vegetables by 27.4%, aluminum and its products by 24.2%, cotton yarn by 19.3%, chemical industry products by 8%, and vegetable and animal fats and oils by 2%.

In the past year, exports of agricultural products increased by 26.7%, totaling 1 billion US dollars, while exports of agro-industrial products amounted to 314.7 million US dollars. In total, the combined exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 18.9%, reaching 1.3 billion US dollars.

In the list of non-oil sector exports during the mentioned period, gold (326.2 million US dollars) ranked first. This was followed by tomatoes (192.5 million US dollars) in second place, and urea (170.8 million US dollars) in third.

In December 2025, the list of non-oil sector exports included dates (36.4 million US dollars) in first place, gold (29.2 million US dollars) in second, and peeled hazelnuts (20.3 million US dollars) in third.

In the past year, non-oil exports to the Russian Federation amounted to 1.2 billion US dollars, to Turkey 597.3 million US dollars, to Georgia 347.9 million US dollars, to Switzerland 347.8 million US dollars, and to Ukraine 201 million US dollars.

In December 2025, non-oil exports to the Russian Federation totaled 96.3 million US dollars, to Turkey 51.2 million US dollars, to Georgia 41.4 million US dollars, to Switzerland 32.9 million US dollars, and to Ukraine 10.8 million US dollars.

According to the non-state exporter rankings for January-December 2025, the following companies represented the top ten: the “Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited” Representative Office in the Republic of Azerbaijan, “Prime Cotton” LLC, “Baku Steel Company” JSC, “Azerbaijan Sugar Production Union” LLC, “TABATERRA” JSC, “STP Aluminium” LLC, “Export Stream” LLC, “P-AQRO” LLC, “KHAN-EL” LLC, and “AGRARCO” LLC.

The list of state-owned companies involved in non-oil export operations is headed by the Marketing and Economic Operations Department of SOCAR. The following companies are also represented in this list: SOCAR Polymer LLC, AzerGold JSC, Azeraluminium LLC, the SOCAR Gas Export Department, Azercotton Agro-Industrial Complex LLC, SOCAR-Dalgidj LLC, Istisu Mineral Water Plant LLC, Azerbaijan Railways JSC, and SOCAR CAPE LLC.

In the January-December period of 2025, the Azerbaijan Space Agency (Azercosmos) exported satellite telecommunication services worth 18.1 million US dollars to 43 countries worldwide. The revenue from Azercosmos’ services constituted 66% of its total revenues. In December 2025, Azercosmos exported services worth 1.7 million US dollars to 35 countries.

During the reporting period, the top five countries for satellite telecommunication service exports were the United Kingdom (4.6 million US dollars), Luxembourg (3.5 million US dollars), Sweden (1.3 million US dollars), Turkey (861 thousand US dollars), and Nigeria (823.9 thousand US dollars).
