CAERC Representative Participates in International Seminar in China
A representative of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) participated in the international seminar "Governance Capacity Building for BRI Countries", held in the People's Republic of China.
Turkay Verdiyeva, Chief Advisor at the Public Relations Division of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), took part in the seminar, which was organized to enhance governance capacities among countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
The primary objective of the programme was to strengthen the knowledge and competencies of public sector representatives from BRI partner countries in the field of public administration, facilitate the exchange of China's governance experience, and promote international cooperation.
The seminar was supported by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and organized by the International Economic Cooperation Center of Fujian Province. Throughout the programme, participants attended lectures covering a wide range of topics, including China's public governance model, economic development strategy, digital transformation, social welfare policy, environmental governance, cultural heritage preservation, and the role of media and communication in public administration. The programme also featured study visits to government institutions, enterprises, and historical and cultural sites.
Particular emphasis was placed on effective communication and coordination within public institutions, the role of digital media platforms in the delivery of public services, institutional approaches to strategic communication, and contemporary public governance practices.
In addition to CAERC, the Azerbaijani delegation included representatives from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Customs Committee, and the State Agency on Renewable Energy Sources. The seminar provided participants with an opportunity to exchange international best practices, strengthen professional networks, and explore new avenues for future cooperation in public administration and institutional development.
