Deputy Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), Abdulrahim Dadashov, participated in the international seminar on “High-Quality Development of Infrastructure Connectivity for Belt and Road Countries”, held in Beijing, China.
The seminar brought together 28 participants from nine countries and focused on the development of transport and logistics infrastructure, the integration of urban and suburban transport systems, modern rail transit solutions, and the implementation of digital and smart infrastructure.
Throughout the seminar, participants attended lectures and discussions covering China's modernization experience, high-quality infrastructure development, multi-level rail transit systems, integrated transport planning, water infrastructure, and the role of information infrastructure in supporting digital development.
As part of the programme, a technical field visit was organized to Chongqing Municipality. During the visit, participants explored various components of Chongqing’s rail transit infrastructure, including the Jiangtiao Line, Jiulongyuan Station, Dazhulin Operations Control Center, Tongjiayuanzi Depot, Liziba Station, Shapingba Station–City Development Complex, and CRRC Chongqing’s train manufacturing facilities. The field visit provided valuable insights into China's experience in strengthening transport integration between urban and suburban areas, implementing monorail systems, integrating rail transit with commercial and residential developments, and applying intelligent monitoring and inspection technologies.
In addition to CAERC, Azerbaijan was represented at the international event by officials from Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Economic Scientific Research Institute under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
