A meeting was held at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) with the leadership of the Republican Association of the Azerbaijan Trade Union of Public Administration and Public Service Workers (ATU-PAPSW), a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC).

Deputy Executive Director of CAERC Ramil Huseyn informed the guests about the Center’s 10-year activity, its achievements, and the working conditions created for employees.

Chairman of the ATU-PAPSW Hikmat Nabiyev provided information about the activities, main priorities, and reforms implemented by the organization he leads. It was noted that the trade union carries out activities aimed at developing labor relations, protecting the socio-economic and labor rights of its members, ensuring their interests, as well as improving the social well-being of employees and expanding opportunities for their professional development.

It was stated that the ATU-PAPSW brings together civil servants, civilian employees working in the law enforcement and defense systems, as well as trade union members working in a number of banking and service sectors. The meeting participants were shown a video about the history of the establishment of the trade union, its areas of activity, opportunities created for members, and social-oriented projects implemented by the organization.

Later, First Deputy Chairman of the ATU-PAPSW Jamaladdin Guliyev and Head of the Organizational Affairs and Information Department Firangiz Agayeva answered questions from CAERC employees. During the Q&A session, an exchange of views was held on the advantages of trade union membership, social opportunities provided for members, participation in various events and projects, protection of employees’ rights and interests, as well as other issues.
